Not sure if anything change for me or not but it works now.
I like the links across the top better. I think the best feature of Beta is the fact that the "meat" now gets the most screen real estate it possibly can.

I prefer the top links but i would like if they were fixed to the top (or bottom) of a scrolling screen so that i didnt have to return to the top to change forums

This issue happened earlier to me. I got to other boards and my favorites boards link at the top disappears. Left forums are there though.

Thanks, Chicken. I tried it out and when I tried to hide them, it took me at least four tries before the links were hidden again. Using Chrome on desktop.
I rather them hidden since I zoom Chrome (Ctrl +) to 175% because my screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 on a 15" laptop screen. The beta version doesn't have some user's avatars overlapping into the message area like it did on the old layout. Been on the beta version since it was available.

I like the beta version. I browse on my iPad a lot and it gives the forum more screen real estate.
