Damn

quote:

According to Sheriff Randy Tucker, the mother of the child said she was on the way home from work and stopped at the daycare to pick up her child.

"They told the mother you didn't drop her off this morning and the mother immediately became distraught, ran out to the car and realized the two year old was still in the car," said Tucker.

i'm going through a rough patch right now but damn. i don't know how people go on after this.

How can you be that oblivious.
She didn't hear the baby while driving? She didn't see him/her when she was getting in/out the vehicle. Does she not use a rear view mirror? Come on... So sad. A life that ended waaaaaaaaaay too soon

routines are powerful

all it takes is one little thing to change it where it doesn't register and you miss dropping your kid off and you're off to work

quote:

Sheriff Tucker addressed the media, describing the incident as a "tragic accident".

"It looks like a tragic accident," added Tucker. "I can't see any way other than to look at it from that point based on what we know."

I don't see how it is even possible. I guess some people are so distracted by their thoughts and the drama of life that they simply cannot focus.

The sheriff is saying it looks like an accident, but last time we did this thread, everyone felt bad for that Atlanta or whatever guy and it turned out he murdered his kid.

An accident is an accident. If it truly was an accident, there's no need to prosecute.

fair point

the whole "going to daycare" angle makes me just feel that's a bit elaborate for that sort of scheme

i suppose the google searches will tell all

Somewhere on the internet, exists the most awful article in the world (by the Washington Post, I think) about completely normal, functioning people who've killed their kids in a similar fashion.

I made it through about four paragraphs before I lost my mind and closed it. Couldn't hack it.

I'm not gonna find it - Google that shite at your own peril.
