I thought my dad wasnt capable of crying , in my entire life I never saw him cry . I watched him bury his parents and not a tear , but when his brother died he cried .
Not easy to see for sure .

As a dad and a son.
You expect to hear your kid cry, not your dad.

Hasto be hearing your parents crying, right?
Yep. No matter how old you are, they're supposed to be the ones convincing you that everything was going to be OK. When my sister was dying of liver disease, my mom was strong for years. Had never seen her cry my entire life (I was 27 at the time). But when it was obvious that my sis was done for and my mom lost it, holy shite. I feel sick thinking about it. frick your thread in its stupid face.

A good friend of mine was killed in a car wreck a year and a half ago. Hearing/seeing his mother at the funeral was one of the most painful and gut wrenching things I've had to deal with.

Yeah, when we cut life support off for my sister and waited for the EKG monitor to flat line. That flat line sound and the subsequent weeping of my parents each have their own place etched in my memory.
