I consider the upvote a very powerful form of communication between members of TD. Before the upvote, members of this board would write any type of silly shite they wanted and could get away with it. The upvote changed all of this. When a poster makes a silly comment that is derogatory to another member of the TD society through the upvote/down vote other members can bring shame to this person.
