They almost broke me, I thought they were done doing it.

Good info though for anyone doing the special. Hold your ground no matter what they say, you will get it eventually.

A buddy of mine had one that refused to give them that deal. He told them to cancel it and they did. A few days later, he received that same offer in the mail begging him to come back.

Never pay more that $5 a month for that

Wait, What??

Man, I pay $30 a month for two radios. Not even the top tier, I don't get Howard, but I do get the mid tier, because I like Shade45 and such.

Then you have to deal with the same stupid song and dance in 6 months.

I did this a few times. Then I had this retarded customer service rep who was so bad that I just hung up on him and haven't reactivated since. I have one XM built in and one sirius plug in radio. The rep was mindblown and couldn't figure it out.

It was almost like they were trying to get me not to use their service.

It was around $500, but I don't think they offer it anymore.

You can still buy the portable radios that have lifetime subscriptions on eBay though

I have been an XM subscriber since 2003 and about a year ago we added my wife's new car to my subscription.

I use it for ESPN radio mostly and occasionally PGA Tour Golf channel. We can't get ESPN here on FM.

I just got a new truck that pairs with my phone so now I can listen to all that shite from my phone through my truck speakers. My wife told me she rarely listens to XM since discovering Pandora after years of me telling her to get on it.

We are cancelling XM totally... I don't care what they offer.

They said they can't do 6 months for $30, but offered 5 months for $25.

I've had an active subscription non stop since 2003, I think I need a discount. I remember when I paid $9 per radio.

Now it's $15 a radio.

My free trial expired back in 2015. What's the best way to get the special deal without currently having a subscription?

ETA: What package are y'all getting for $30/6 months?

Usually they will email you the deal or mail it to you, call them and tell them you are thinking of re-subscribing to try it out and see if you like it, hold out for the $5/month deal.

It was around $500 but I'm pretty sure it's not offered anymore. Glad I did it when it was offered.

You don't even have to call. Go to their website and type in your radio id or vin # and the 6/$30 will be offered.

Watch out for the automatic renewal when doing the $25 for 5 month deal. They'll automatically roll you over to $20/month and even if your credit/debit card on the account has expired they'll still run your service for another month or two without any notification at all then come after you for the $20-40 bucks of back payment.

I tried to parlay this payment towards a new subscription at the same promotion rate of another $25/5 months but they wouldn't have it. I was a bit worried they could ding my credit if I didn't pay up the back due bill so I caved then spitefully cancelled my account.

Lifetime subscription, too.
But what sucks is that it is largely not transferable anymore.
I've been a lifer since 07.

I only listen to radio is when I'm in the car. Even so, there is nothing on radio that is worth paying for.
