The Price of a Disney World Ticket in 1971 Will Make You Want to Cry

Going to Walt Disney World is a dream come true for millions of kids and kids-at-heart around the globe, but getting up close and personal with Mickey Mouse will cost you.

In 1971, a one-day pass to the mouse house would set you back $3.50 (a little over $20, accounting for inflation), according to a new report by GoBankingRate. Today, that same ticket will cost visitors a whopping $115. And while that number seems eye-watering, it’s also key to note that Disney World has expanded exponentially over the years, adding parks, rides, attractions, and more, which definitely helps account in part for the newly inflated ticket costs.
How times have changed
Makes me want to cry, tbh. But some things in life are just worth it.

That picture is exactly what I think of when I think of couples that love Disney

I always found it a bit weird that most of the adults that are crazy Disney fanatics are overweight to obese, and look miserable as frick walking around that place.

You're brave to post your photo looking so damn sexy. Good luck keeping the LLOTOT off of you. Pull the blinds down now.

Yeah, I always pictured those types of people being really into marathon running or snowboarding.

Too bad our wages haven't gone up that much...

I last went in 1976. I found an old ticket book my parents saved from that trip about a year ago. It was a 2 day book and the price was $13.

The only thing stranger than the adults that love to go to Disney time after time is when you meet one of them and mention it. The mental gymnastics they pull to explain why it is OK are amazing. I love to prompt these folks and then sit back and listen. They know it is strange or they wouldn't expend so much energy explaining why it isn't.

Damn Pecker. By the way that you talk I always figured you for a dude that was in shape. Didn't know that you were tubby.
