I freaking detest it with my entire being. I'm about to get started, and I want to cry.

At least it comes down quicker than it goes up.

I kind of like it. New year, new clean, uncluttered start.

Nah, you just don't get married. It makes it so much easier to find a newer model when your woman wants you to take down the Christmas decorations while she goes to work with your balls in her purse.

Being tired of the decorations is stronger for me than having to put them away.

Our neighbors across the street do an annual "burn your Christmas tree" party in their front yard sometime in January. Everyone on our street brings their trees and we burn them in a metal barrel while drinking and hanging out. Last the a fire truck drove by and just waved at us as we were burning trees.

I'm tempted to just keep our tree up until they do this party.

I took the lights down yesterday. Took three hours to put them up and less than 15 minutes to take them down.

Yea. Taking them down is much easier than putting them up. The worst part is my wife moping around because she's sad Christmas is over.

It's like ripping a bandaid off. Don't think, just do it. When I was younger, I had a xmas tree that became a Mardi Gras tree. Now, they're down the first weekend after xmas

I'd like to. Raining too much here to do it right now though.

It's still Christmas. Leave them up until the Epiphany.

Just finished. It sucks. Needles everywhere. It's worth it though, I always enjoy having them up.
