My biggest problem with this is the use of they as a pronoun instead of she.

Lexi refers to Jaz as "they", but Jaz refers to themselves as "I". Of course, there is no requirement for a nonconforming, nonbinary persyn to acknowledge their alternate when they are in one of those states, so I guess it is permissible.
