Don't go in with a loaded gun and know how to distract yourself so you don't climax too quickly and you can end up on the higher end of the scale.

Agreed. 5 minutes Sounds like someone in their 20's, maybe early 30's.
A morning piece of arse can last about 5 minutes, but anything after 9:00 PM requires alot more work than that. And while that situation would be GREAT for a 20 something, for married dude with 2 kids and an early start in the morning...it can suck!
