I don't have a dog in this fight, but why are so many members of the city council/govt. against this entire incorporation?

The BR council members are by far the most inept group of elected officials in the state (I can say that now that DeeDee is gone). Completely and utterly incapable of doing their jobs. Nothing surprises me. I used to sit in council meetings and literally facepalm myself when they would say things.

Because the cash cow wants to leave the field and go to another one.

How stupid are these people?

All this action against the people and representatives of St. George is going to make this thing happen, which is the worst-case scenario for them.

Do they really think that bullying and retaliatory actions are going to cow this area into voting against incorporation and remaining a colony of BR?

And idiot Mayor bringing up 79% of Greenlight Program funds have been spent in the City of St. George limits so far...like this means St. George still isn't within EBR Parish limits. I don't think it was city only taxes that paid for those road improvements.

This Delgado douchebag seems to be trying to make a name for himself off of this. The more this happens, the more I want St. George to happen. I live smack in the middle of BR.

Well those people have been claiming that the St. George area has been neglected. He's just giving an example of how it hasn't with regard to recent infrastructure.

Right. The only thing I think they are talking about as far as being neglected, is all the millions they pay in taxes that go ONLY to BR.
Like the fire and police protection for instance.
Right?

I've seen it a lot in the St. George threads, usually in more general terms.
