I know a lot of PTs that do crossfit. I think they secretly do it for client development...

I definitely look down on people who wear gloves in the gym. I don't know why, but I do.

PTs rejoice when any out of shape fat arse starts to workout in an attempt to get in shape. It isn't limited to Crossfit.

I wouldn't doubt it but my experience is limited to crossfit gyms. I wonder if they write off the gym membership as a business expense.

Probably so.

I had surgery to repair some ankle ligaments that I tore years ago (not working out) and I was hobbling around the gym doing what I could for the 8 weeks while I was in a cast/boot.

One of the newer members dropped a hint that she was a PT and offered her services.

Not limited to, but I would venture to say that a much larger percentage of cross fitters will be spending a lot of time and $$ getting all their joint pain treated later in life. Not a single person I know who does crossfit for longer than 6 months isn't hampered by some nagging injury(s).

I'd like to keep some cartilage left in my shoulders/hips/knees for when I'm in my 50s-60s, thanks.

How heavy of a vest? Looks like an awesome workout with bodyweight but yeah the length could get tedious. I'd figure an hour and a half to do a full and that's if you're good at pull ups.

I'm almost positive they said 14lbs when I was watching, but maybe I'm mistaken.

You are right, I edited it.

The thing which made Murph really brutal was making it a chipper.

Agreed.

Well, that and the fact that it was part of a dozen or so other workouts in a 5 day period.

I can do Murph without a vest in 45-50 min if I can break my pull-ups/push-ups/squats into 20 rounds of 5/10/15 (Cindy, for you non-crossfitters).

Most Crossfitters i see are super average and have had the same weight on the bar for months at a time.

I've been doing it for about 2 years. Even up until now I've PR'ed every lift, every single time I've tried. which is usually like every few months.

we have good programming though. Every gym is different.

Also as far as injuries, I haven't seem many. Cant speak for other gyms. Im not saying they don't happen, but i just hate when people paint a broad picture.

Dave Castro isn't fat

Carson is hot as frick. These athletes were doing what, 2-3 high intensity workouts a day? You have to almost constantly be drinking water to rehydrate your body. People get hurt in football, but do they blame the game? Do they blame the foundation of the sport? Never. Because it's football.

Get over it. CrossFit isn't for you.
