Dubai as a city has what is called F-you money
its all tourist money. the city itself is shite once you get away from the hotels and casinos

There aren't any Casinos, retard. The city is very nice. There are areas that are more typical of the middle east, but they're not bad.

quote:They weren't confiscated, they were bought. It is really just a big public relations campaign to show how high class and luxurious Dubai is. These cars aren't involved in car chases or anything like that. They only are driven and "patrol" in high tourist areas.
Do they confiscate those from criminals or do they get them as "necessary" crime fighting tools?

I know some guys that worked for Emirates and I even looked into doing it, negatives far outweigh the positives, good chance a lot of those cars are abandoned, I think it's a pretty serious offense, like imprisonment type of punishment for falling behind on your debt, people that are over extended just leave the country when there's a hiccup in whatever type of work they're in
doubt those police cars are abandoned but abandoned cars of dubai
