what do they mean only? that's a rate of $48,000 per hour in 1990's dollars.

One of my favorite Pandora stations is called "Glycerin Radio." Pretty much all 90's alternative so Nirvana is played a ton. This was my scene in college but I never actually "listened" to what they were saying. Sure, there have certainly been better writers out there but people just don't write lyrics like this anymore.
