Way too much planning. Your wife will leave you one day when she's had enough.

You're staying in Brussels for over a week? You should've considered mixing it up, but nonetheless have fun

Holy shite you're going to be exhausted after doing all of that crap. That's not a vacation, that's a chore right there. Take a few hours to just chill at a bar or coffee shop and take it all in.

No need to really plan, we went to Utrip, selected what we wanted to see and what was important for us and it created our itinerary for us.

we have several hours a day of freedom, nothing on that list starts before 10am and gives us 2 hours to eat and 2 hours to lounge in the parks.

Sounds like a miserable trip and you wasted thousands of dollars by not using credit card reward sign up bonuses before planning.

Brussels is worth a couple of days at most IMO.......although you seem to have filled up several days in your itenerary. Jeeze. Ghent is about a 30 minute train ride away and is less touristy but just as beautiful as Bruges. We usually spend 3 or 4 nights in Ghent when we are in the area. Amsterdam is great and another nice Dutch city is Utrecht. They have a really nice river walk area that is sunken down below street level and lined with cafés and restaraunts. Utrecht is also home the gerrit reitveld , a 1930s modernist Dutch architect. The tour of his residence....reitveld/ Schroeder house is fantastic.

You really should consider making day trips to Bruges and Ghent. Both are worth a look since you are over there already. Plus they are about an hour train ride from Brussels each.

like I said, I used Utrip so it planned everything for us. we can change and alter things as we go....
we planned the beer festival to visit then a couple breweries + abbeys. She wants to go visit Amsterdam for a day as well which after looking it is only a short train ride.
