What's cool to do there?

I'm familiar with the De Soto National Forest and Black Creek trail.

I know they have a trace too.

But what is there to do in Hattiesburg?

How's the entertainment? Festivities?

What parts do people center in? What parts do they avoid?

I don't really like Hattiesburg but I will say the finest woman I've ever seen in my life is a waitress at a restaurant there.

You're only an hour from Biloxi, an hour and a half from New Orleans, and two and a half hours from Baton Rouge.

Southern Prohibition Brewing is there. Hit them up for a tour and some tastings.

Couple of decent bars, shopping is pretty good. Other than that, not a lot.

They do have some small outdoor concerts downtown in the Fall and Spring, but if OP wants to do anything exciting, he'll have to leave town.

they have an indian restuarant there that's really good. I cant remember the name of it, but it's the only indian place there, one of the few indian places in the entire state of mississippi really.

They have both a Raising Canes and a Zaxby's, so whichever is your preference you're safe.

Romero got married on the fifth of July
In our Lady of Immaculate Dawn
Could have got married in the revival man's tent
But there ain't no reviving what's gone
Slipped like a shadow from the family he made
In a little white house by the woods
Dropped the kids at the mission, with a rose for the virgin
She knew he was gone for good

It's a long way to Heaven, it's closer to Hattiesburg
And that's still a long way from the place where we are
And if evil exists, it's a pair of train tracks
And the devil is a railroad car

Your poem reminded me that you will sometimes see people walking down the main highway there carrying a large cross over their shoulder.

Lots of pretty women- most are pop country fans. The college is comparable to Southeastern. Folks there talk with an irritable Twang. That is all.

The timing of the lights on the one main road is shite. Once you are stopped at one, you're stopping at all of them. Probably why everyone there runs the red lights.
