Cat/CAD

I'll be at the Tractor Supply Co open vender buying day in August, Franklin. First time visitor to the Nashville area. Will come in a day early, meet and stay the night... Maybe two.

Line out what I need to experience food (from dive can't miss to as upscale as you would recc), maybe a night spot or two and if there is a sight not to miss. I don't necessarily need a museum etc, just want to get a feel for the city in a calm casual way.

TIA

I'd ask for the same, but I'll only be in Nashville for a day in July - and mostly for the US game.

Ok. To those knowledgeable, compare and contrast Nashville with Charlotte and Charleston.

We moved here in 2013. We've lived all over, it isn't our favorite place but for a land locked city, Nashville isn't bad, and there are a handful of cool neighborhoods in the city (we live in East Nashville). The public schools in Nashville are mostly not very good, from our little bit if research, but I think they are getting better. If you like good schools and a nice clean place, albeit, more suburban, check out Franklin.

It's just like any place else. The higher-ses schools do very well, while the schools in areas with more poverty have more problems.
