What's the atmosphere like in there in game days, and how early would we need to get there to get a table for the LSU game?

I believe this is where a lot of LSU folks of to watch the games, correct?

Not really concerned about the food there, so stuff the F&D Board comments. Just want to know what it be like, and what to expect.

Not sure what time, but it's fricking awesome. Huge place with tons of LSU stuff. I guess it depends on how many people you have.

Great place to watch LSU. If there are 8 of you get there at least an hour before kick-off, it gets packed on gameday.

Not sure if we're going to do that or some other touristy stuff, just trying to weigh my options.

This reminds me. I was in LAX the other day and for the first time in years, decided to talk to someone wearing LSU gear(my age-ish -29).

Anywho, start up a convo and the fricker had only been to N.O. for a bachelor party and had picked up the shirt. WTF

I was admittedly incredibly awkward after that, as I felt there was no fricking chance this guy wasn't an alum/Louisianan in some regard and was mentally thrown off. Of course, my non-LSU alum fiancee loved to snicker at me when I returned. I should have lied to her.

Never again unless I'm at a place like Legends (to make this post thread relevant).

I would assume if you get a table, you'll have table service. So that shouldn't be a problem.

I'm not sure about table service. We had the second floor to ourselves.

so service is one of the things they bring to the table? What if they don't have a table? Can you bring your own table to the table? If you prefer we can table this discussion.

This.

Jack Demsey's, Stout and Foley's are all right nearby.

Better stretch out that liver.

Foley's is a must stop for a sports fan, IMO.

We watched Clemson beat us in the peach bowl on NYE 2012. It was crowded, but we got a table for 6 people less than an hour before kickoff. It was all LSU and people were buying strangers shots about every 5 minutes. I'm sure the crowd was even more amped up due to NYE, but it was awesome.

I think there was a Phish party going on in the basement level, so the smoking crowd outside the bar was pretty eclectic.

Saw LSU play and lose single handedly to Cam Newton there but it was still a great experience. If you are in NYC there is no where else I would watch a game.
