The wife and I are in the process of closing on a condo near campus (4600 area of Burbank Dr.) We live in Seabrook, TX, and I haven't lived in BR since 1997. I've never been a fan of Cox communications, however, I don't want to, necessarily, exclude them from consideration.
We use Uverse as our TV and internet provider in Seabrook, and are very happy with them, however, TV service is not available at the BR condo address. (internet is) I was thinking of going with DIRECTV for media, and Uverse for internet...any recommendations?

Thank you.

Uverse for internet

I wouldn't even consider this as an option.

I have UVerse for TV and Cox for Internet.

If you can't get UVerse for TV (which makes no sense if you can get their internet), then just get Cox for both or DirecTV and Cox internet.

Uverse internet has always blown whenever I have had it.

If you stream movies/shows or play online games, Cox is hands down the best. Shiety customer service and they randomly jack up your bill, but they are by far the fastest

ETA- Also, some of those other companies charge extra if you go over a certain data usage per month.

Totally agree. Both our TV and internet service in Seabrook is provided via DSL modem and residential gateway.

Thanks for the input!

Some things never change! Those are the primary reasons I bailed on them, in a previous life.
