When hanging out with friends or family or coworkers, when they throw a ‘did you hear about xyz?’ I sometimes have to fake it and seem interested in their story even though I had already read it posted on the OT several days before.

Do you talk about The OT outside of the OT?

No doubt. My college girlfriend fully supported my addiction to TD because she found it amusing that I knew all kinds of shite.

You always have to introduce your knowledge with “I read in an article...”

“I read on the off-topic section of an LSU sports message board called TigerDroppings.com...” tends to kill credibility.

I’ve certainly learned more about the frequency of teacher sex and the dangers of Florida, that’s for sure.

It's tough to beat a Cornell education but, it's close.

I can't remember anything I learned from college.

The OT has taught me more about life and love and loss and everything in between than maybe any other teacher.

Also how to meme.

I read the OP from the lazy wife thread to my girl. So she understands how deplorable that behavior is.

You can say that I use more knowledge from TD than from what I received in college.

I mean how many times have I come across the need for Laplace transforms, as I have the need for fixing my AC or seeing some cool historical pictures.

If you have learned more from TD than college, then your degree isn’t worth shite; assuming you actually received one.

I do frequently get the “How did you know that?” response after going on about something I read here.
