The closest bus stop to my house is about a 2.5 mile walk. That would be lovely on a nice August morning in a long sleeve button up and slacks

They just go a slug of money and it seems they already want more.

How about CATS showing the taxpayers that they have delivered as promised.

That should be job one.

It seems unwise to stand around anywhere in Baton Rouge these days, let alone at a bus stop. I don't want to get shot.

Baton Rouge needs to put its bus service out for 3rd parties to bid on and ditch CATS entirely.

I'm not sold that the LSU-Downtown tram would be cost effective in the long run, but I'd have to imagine it would be better than anything linking from NBR.

The plan to make it better is more funding. No real change. Just more funding for higher salaries and bigger kickbacks.

Just like the public school system.

"We just need more money for the children!"

Then test scores stay the same or drop.

EBR has beautiful libraries now full of books that her children can't read

The libraries and the parks in Baton Rouge are very good and (arguably) over funded.

CATS is a fricking joke run by incompetent idiots connected to north Baton Rouge politicians.

No one who cares about bus service would ever trust CATS to deliver it.

If I was the new head of CATS, first thing I would do would be to rebrand as something other than CATS.

I'd rather first envision a Baton Rouge where people aren't getting shot in once-safe (as in not that long ago) neighborhoods.

Sounds trashy. I didn't buy my F250 with truck nuts to ride with the poors.

Do what? Concentrating all the good guys on a bus would be giving the bad guys a Wal-Mart selection of potential customers.
