My dog has been attacked twice at dog parks, once by a border collie, once by a Siberian Huskey.

Only time my lab was attacked was when he was a puppy and he picked up wrong tennis ball while fetching. A German Shepard was on top of him in seconds and almost bit him goood. Luckily the owner was right there and yanked him off.

I have to agree with this. Mir is always either trying to bust someone's balls or complaining.

I have 2 pitbulls and they are the best and sweetest dogs ever. This mixed dog I have is much more aggressive than these 2.

All of my family have brought their kids around my dogs and my 2 pits lick them in the face and are very well behaved around them and anyone else, including strangers.

I know the OT loves to hate pitbulls, but you're dumb if you think it's because of the dog. It's the owner and the way they're brought up. Sadly, most aren't raised right and are seen as fighting dogs because of the stupidity that is inner city America.

One is a rescue and has the best personality I've ever seen in a dog. He's probably got more personality than your sorry arse.

No, they're naturally affectionate towards humans. You have to train or poorly raise one to turn them into harmful dogs (though inbreeding is an issue). You're retarded if you think euthanizing all of them would change anything. Trashy pieces of shite would just starting getting different breeds. A boxer, German Shepard, American Bulldog, Mastiffs, etc would be the next dogs of choice for trash and thugs. Any dog over fifty pounds can frick shite up. Chain a golden retriever in the backyard all day, withhold affection and socialization, and that golden would attack as quick as a pitbull.

While the dog might have a genetic disposition towards violence; I'm sure it doesn't help that 80% of pit bull owners are trashy and probably have a disposition towards violence.

Was it because I posted her picture in this thread already? Or was that too subtle?

They can have a predisposition towards animal aggression. That's why early socialization is important if they will ever be around other dogs. They don't have that natural disposition towards humans (as long as they are properly bred and not inbred). I'd trust a pitbull that was raised as part of the family with a child, over a chows or other breeds that are natural guard dogs.

I never had a problem with other pitbull owners in Nola or Colorado dog parks. They're often the more responsive owners I've seen. They also usually adopted then from a shelter, and raised and disciplined them correctly. They researched the dogs natural instincts and tendencies, and raised then accordingly.

Here in Arkansas, most pitbull owners I've met are trashy as frick. They talk about breeding them, and I've had several people asking about breeding mine. frick those scumbags. That number may vary a lot by city, but that 80% nationally may be accurate.

These assholes also tell me how great our guard dogs they are. That's stupid. They weren't breed to be guard dogs. It's not instinctual like with German Shepards, Dobermans or Chows. These morons just made a good dog mean to everyone that isn't family.

My dog has only shown protective instincts when I'd bring her camping. And it wasn't humans she was trying to protect us from, it's other animals. That was their job. Protect the farm from predatory animals that would harm the farm animals or family. A well raised and bred pit will allow almost anyone to steal your shite. Because that was never supposed to be their job. But eventually, trash and thugs started breeding them, and training then against their natural instincts.

There always has and will always be a most dangerous breed of the times. And it's because scumbags or well intentioned dumbasses will always be able to own dogs. Ban pitbulls, and they just do the same thing to another breed.

Maybe owners of certain breeds should be forced to take a class, just like hunter education.

I like this idea a lot. Many areas require dog licenses. I think it would be good to require a dog education class for people who register their dogs. Make the fee low, and the fine for not registering very high.

But unfortunately two things are not going away anytime soon - ignorant trashy people and their poorly-trained and therefore dangerous dogs.

Unfortunately, also true.

I like pit Bulls. Dont see any issue with the breed. Cars kill more people daily. Outlaw cars
