A friend just died in his mid-twenties of diabetes. He had no idea he was diabetic. He went into epileptic shock and died yesterday. They found his breathing but unresponsive. After two hours of working on him, he was gone. Very strange and shocking.

well I certainly didn't like reading that. Did he ever express any hint AT ALL that he wasn't feeling right?

Secretary at our office just told me yesterday some guy she knows went outside for a cigarette at 2:00 am last week, slipped and smacked his head, and froze within 15 minutes in the sub-zero temps.

you sure it was an epileptic shock? I have a very close family member who is a diabetic and never have heard of this. Or are you just assuming thats what the shock was?

A friend of mine and a regular poster on here wasn't feeling well freshman or sophomore year of college and found out he had type 1 Diabeetus. We had gone out drinking a bunch of times and he ate whatever he wanted for years. Crazy

yes but as you said he wasnt feeling well. I dont mean to be insensitive to the op, but dang, i would think you have symptoms of diabetes and feeling sick long before you fall over and die

A guy I knew in HS was fixing up a roof, fell off and died.

Another guy I knew in HS is on death row... not dead yet though.

He failed a PT test the day before which was unusual. We all told him to go to the doc. He said he had a cold and was fine. It was onset and with no real warning, kinda like a heart attack being your first warning of heart trouble.

If I'm not feeling well, I'm not automatically assuming I have diabetes.

odd thing is i wrote a paper on meningitis about a year before.

About 15 yrs ago my SIL's brother was found in his back yard dead. He had been practicing with his bow (rigged for bow fishing) and there must have been a kink or knot in the line, causing it to spring back at high speed. Arrow entered his eye went through his skull (nock first). Gruesome way to die.
I know it sounds impossible, and I would not have believed it if not close to the family.

My next door neighbor smothered to death in his laundry room, zipped up inside of a body bag.
No foul play involved. He put himself in there and the zipper got stuck.

That's weird enough, but the whole story is even stranger.

Out of respect and laziness, I will leave the rest unsaid.
