Strange experience with a cyclist yesterday morning

So yesterday morning I was riding my bike to the local coffee shop (because I'm an entitled douchebag and all) and on the way I'm stopped at a red light and another cyclist comes up behind me. We exchange the usual "Good mornings" and whatnot, then once the light turns green, we head on.

This is where it gets kinda weird. He gets right behind me, which I find kinda odd because I'm going at a casual pace and he is in full kit on a racing road bike, so I figured he would go around me, but he never did, instead, he followed me all the way to the coffee shop. And I take a very zig zag way to the coffee shop because I try to avoid heavy traffic streets, so the only way it would make sense for him to follow me is if we were going to the same place.

At one point I even slowed down to see if he would pass me and he slowed down with me.

So I finally get to the coffee shop. He follows me all the way to it, then he proceeds to rides laps around the the parking lot across the street and stare at me as I drank my coffee on the patio. It was really fricking weird. He did this for probably 10 minutes.

So 2 questions:

Did I break some sort of cycling etiquette that I'm not aware of?

or did he want to frick me?

I have no idea and I still have no idea what I did for him to follow me like that.
