"Blame whitey." That sentiment been bad for a long time, but it's never been worse in my lifetime than the past year or so. The man sitting in the highest elected office has been stoking the flames of racism for years, sometimes subtlety sometimes more openly.

one of my favorite lines is "We need investment in the black community"

well you have 2 options: either black people or non-black people will do that investment. it's not magic

when you ask why black people don't invest in their own communities, you get SES arguments

ok

so what happens when non-whites invest in black areas? if they're successful, they become perceived as the enemy and are accused of preying on the low SES black community

That's a very nice way of saying "more handouts".

Also media/social media - giving a bully pulpit to ignorant arse people with loud mouths.

It all boils down to a victimization attitude.

You ever had that gf that never takes responsibility for anything? You get into arguments and no matter how wrong or irrational she is, and you clearly point it out to her, she'll always revert back to some emotional baggage from her past. Like that justifies it.

That's what I feel like when arguing with Progressives. No matter what the argument is they can always revert back to the evil white man and slavery.
