Store in Cajunland upsets many people over clothing policies

This has been blowing up on my FB feed lately.
Apparently these people will not let a lady in their store without her shoulders covered.
Private business and they can do what they want.
The "no shoes rule" must be a misprint.

'I felt like he was trying to make me into something I am not. If I am going out to a club I will dress differently. I am picking up crawfish for my family and I am told I can't go in because of my shirt. I don't have a tank top, I have a sleeveless shirt showing no cleavage. It is not improper at all,' said Missy McElroy, 45, a homemaker, grandmother and mother of four who lives near Coteau Road.

Just some screen shots from the video I took last year of him going off on Denny. I received a letter from their lawyer saying I cannot say anything that is untrue. Here are the facts: we bought crawfish from them with a tag on it that said 39 lbs. We paid for 39 lbs. We saw that it wasn't quite what he said they were so we went to a friend's house and weighed them. They weighed 32 lbs. We called them and they hung up on us. We went over there to see if they could make it right. Either give us crawfish r give us some of our money back. He asked my husband to "step outside" where he proceeded to call him several names and became irate. Then, the woman inside called the cops. The cops told us that they get several complaints about these people all the time. They told us to share our experience and for us to leave. Nothing in this statement is untrue. I am just letting people know it is not just because they don't let people with tank tops in.

Doesn't sound like they'll be in business much longer

Their sign is very confusing. I t looks like they are banning women from having shoes.

That's funny. That is normally my dad's go-to spot for live seafood...going to have to send this to him.

Back in my day, whores had decent clothes on, and they wore shoes too.
Dang gummit!

Backwards as hell, but it's their store.

Can't blame him for trying to bring a little class back to Houma.

It's their right to call people whores for wearing tank tops just as it's our right to share the info and make fun of them for it.

I hate their sign numbering more than I hate their attitude.

I like the "Have a Nice Day" on the sign

Stupid as hell, but it's their store.

I imagine them yelling at customers, "Rule #4 a-hole, or its rule #6 for you"

The bigger issue is that many people allege that they overcharge for poundage and/or dead seafood. I don't buy from there, but I've seen plenty of people post about it, much like in the OP

The only way to protest these people is for topless women to line the storefront. Select women of course.

Been all over my feed to. If they do short people it sure took a while for people to really get the word out.

I picked up 10 lbs of boiled crawfish from there yesterday for $24.99. They were $3.29/lb at crawfish house. I'm a cheap arse. The crawfish were good. About a year ago me and a buddy from Baton Rouge were asked to leave. We wanted some select crabs and they were one of two places that had them. On the drive over I filled him in on their history. He was going out of his way to be a dick and the lady was happy to ask us to leave. The conflict was because he wanted to see the crabs first, and she didn't want to show us. Had to drive about 40 minutes round trip to get the crabs. Crabs were not what I'd call select.

Can confirm , he sells dead seafood, then when you try to get your money back back he gets in your face and cusses you out.

Wish they were near to me, I'd support.
ETA, I support their policy on clothing, etc, if they are screwing people otherwise, that's another topic.
