shite is as bad as drinking and driving honestly. My son was hit by a car this morning while he was riding his bike. He lives in South Tampa and commutes on it daily in the downtown area. He escaped with no major injuries just cut up pretty bad and bruised. Lady was texting and just swerved off a little and brushed him. Could have been a lot worse and thank God it wasn't.

Ive driven a lot the last 4 years(100K+ miles) and you cant go a minute or two without seeing someone looking down at their phone.
Some of my favorites are the ones that pass you up on the interstate doing 85 while looking at their phones.
I know the whole "women cant drive" is overused but they are easily the biggest offenders of texting and driving.

Automated cars can't come soon enough. I can't wait til we can all text, drink or jerk off in our cars without repercussions.

I see it every day and it really pisses me off when they have kids in the car.

I know you're joking but I've actually heard a similar argument made by a younger friend of mine. She said it wasn't as unsafe for people her age because when they learned how to drive they already had smart phones so they're better at driving and using the phone. I didn't know what to say except that she was dumb.

saw a drunk lady the other day on the spillway(its a bridge) run into the guard rail and play bumper cars for a few miles. I called the cops because she looked like a trashball and she was probably going to kill someone. normally i wouldnt give a shite but she had a young kid in the car. i gave my location to 911(they transferred me to them) multiple times over the course of 45 minutes. for about 30 minutes, the car was stopped at a liquor store(go figure) and a burger king. a cop finally called me and told me to stop following her. i repeated that there was a young kid in the car and the woman is drunk as shite. he didnt care and told me to stop following her.

She has a valid point.

Glad he's ok but you have to be out of your God damn mind to ride your bike on the roads in South Tampa

I take the commuter bus up to Denver because the Interstate is a disaster of morons applying makeup, texting, and talking on cellphones.
It's horribly inconvenient and takes forever to get to work, but I feel safer not driving among the distracted.

When I learned how to drive, I already had my dick in my hand so I'm better at doing two things at once.
ETA: and I drive a manual.

I have a different approach to this. Having delivered pizza for 4 years with a smart phone, I got in a very good habit of holding my phone(google maps) up over my steering wheel. It's an absolute night and day difference and is no more unsafe than checking your rearview mirror. But the stigma of looking at a phone while driving compels the offender to hold phone low as possible, thus making the behavior exponentially more dangerous.
Just my 2 pennies from a pizza driver.

At least you're not denying being a dip shite...but do it simply by not being a jackass POS when someone posts something about their child being lucky to be alive, that's all I'm saying. Have a little bit of respect for your fellow man.
