are they planning to take down all of the statues or just the ones pertaining to the civil war?

Just Civil war ones as I understand

Every statue in the city will come down.

There's been no substantive talk about Jackson Square except from people who are freaking out about the Confederate statues coming down.

They are replacing every single offensive statue with statues of Drew Brees.

Along with any and all flags, including the American flag which could be offensive to recent immigrants or foreign visitors.

I believe they have statues of Matt Flynn stored in a warehouse just in case Brees does something bad and those are needed.

The City Council signed off on removing certain ones, 4 I think. However, Landrieu noted later in passing, when talking about where they mite end up.." along with several others, possibly". Point being, they are not finished erasing history.

SJW is one of the tiny red flags that 'Merica is in for a few dark days ahead.

I am sure the Cherokee nation disagrees with that sentiment.

Landreiu should be publicly shamed and ostracised in a fashion similar to Goodell.

They wanted to do it this past weekend but could not coordinate an effective plan to shut down St. Charles temporarily. It should happen before New Years when you least expect it, meaning over night. This is coming from a source who works for DPW for the city. Also, the city will be flipping the bill to remove the statue (Lee Circle). All this talk about private donors paying would not look good for the city. I think it's BS but it is what it is and I understand not wanting to get a private donor involved.

If the Landrieu admin pulls a literal fly by night operation the people of New Orleans should be and will be outraged. Especially with pending legal action.
