State trooper gave wife a BS ticket

The wife just called me to let me know she recieved a ticket from a state trooper. She told me the ticket was for not wearing a seatbelt, but she assured me she was wearing her seatbelt, she wears navy blue scrubs to work and has a dark seatbelt and the trooper made her get out of the car and argued with her that she didnt have a seatbelt on. She always wears her seatbelt so I believe her side of the story, is there any real way to fight this ticket? I know the ticket isnt going to cost much being a first offense but it comes down to principle.

Go to court. If cop doesn't show, you don't pay the ticket. Take a picture of your wife in her scrub with the seatbelt on so you can prove what you say.

Her word vs. State Trooper. I think she's out of luck because I know who the judge is going to believe.

She told me she was in the left lane and Gomer Pile was in the right lane and they was riding side by side so I dont even know how he could have seen if she had it on or not, she said he was a major prick

Chances are the trooper will not show up at court.
I got a seatbelt ticket after shoulder surgery (when it was hard for me to reach around to grab it and click the seatbelt in.)
I went to 19th JDC (downtown BR) asked for a continuance and was granted one. Then on my next court date, the cop didn't show and it was tossed out.

This didn't happen on I 12 between Denham Springs and Hammond by any chance did it ?

If there is reasonable doubt, then the judge will dismiss. Like other poster mentioned, take a picture of her with the scrubs on and submit Better hope the cop doesn't have some sort of close up filming of her NOT wearing a seat belt.

Good advice. When I get a speeding ticket I take a selfie behind the wheel obeying the speed limit and it works every time.
