What's really embarrassing is that as shitty a state as Mississippi is, their state legislature still finds a way to fund their 2 major universities. LSU is falling to pieces, and has been for years. Remember the so-called "Flagship Agenda" that Mark Emmert started? That's in the trash now. It's extremely unlikely that LSU would be completely shut down, but I wish people would care as much about the big picture as they do about whether or not we play football in 2016. The state constitution needs to be amended to protect higher education. Louisiana has something like 4 or 5 times as many colleges as Florida, which has almost 5 times as many people. That's ridiculous. We need to shut down half of what we have.

Wouldn't a gloryhole tax make up for the current deficit? I mean, after football, it's LSU's biggest claim to fame.

Every news outlet is talking about LSU because they are actually relevant in the collage football landscape , but the fact is ULL would be shut down before the flagship .....
