Are the people in this city really dumb enough that we need 100 signs on both sides of the 4 lane street that say "WRONG WAY" and "DO NOT ENTER" facing the opposite direction of the oncoming traffic? I figured that was just common sense...

I think you misunderstand. Those signs are telling white people not to go to the south side of Staring and black people not to go north of Staring.

Staring is depressing these days. BR infrastructure in general is an eyesore. Old Hammond and S. Harrell's Ferry look decent enough. The rest are meh.

Next time you have an elderly friend or family member end up driving the wrong way down a divided street, maybe you'll think more about it.

My personal favorite thing about Staring is they do all these improvements so the speed can be raised... just to have some congressman bitch "NOT IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD" and the speeds are still way too low.

The only really pretty part of Baton Rouge that has any kind of character to it is in the garden district and Highland Road.

Also,do you realize that people pronounce the name of the street incorrectly? The correct pronunciation, based on the spelling, should be "stare-ing".
