Tried the tech board, but trying to get a larger sample group of users/ex users.

I have 5 lines and they are running an unlimited plan for $90. My current base plan w ATT is over double.

I have heard absolutely atrocious things about spring in Louisiana.

Specifically BR and Nola

I've heard decent things about T-Mobile in cities but service can be spotty in rural locale

Absolutely atrocious.
I'm paying around $90 for 5 gigs with a phone lease, etc.
Just saw Verizon is gonna be around $5 more for 5 gigs with them.
I'm switching ASAP.

If it tells you anything, I can't even go over because their speeds and coverage is so slow.

Sprint in Dallas was great but it's worthless in North Louisiana. It only covers the I-20 corridor and even in that area, I only got a 3G connection.

I had sprint for many years and switched to Verizon. The issue I had with Sprint was my subdivision was on the outskirts of their coverage and without Internet WiFi, I had severe issues with phone calls dropping and forget about internet. When I switched to Verizon we had the great flood which knocked out my Internet yet with Verizon I had no issues using my phone for anything which could not be said if I had Sprint at that time. That's a prime safety issue to consider.

Having said that sprint was cheaper and if you have coverage wherever you live, I'd go with sprint. If not, a visit to Verizon is a must.

Trouble with Verizon is that $90 bill comes out to like $130. Best coverage statewide tho IMO

NOLA is actually pretty good and has good site spacing and most all Sprint active bands in place on a lot of sites.

BR is probably one the worst coverage cities for Sprint unfortunately.

I switched to Verizon too. The Sprint coverage gets weaker as you get away from I-20. My phone was worthless in towns less than 30 north or south of I-20.

I was trying to cover high school football games up here. Sometimes I couldn't make a phone call, much less, tweet or post on the web.

The cost is Verizon's Achilles heel. If I could find a company that had unlimited data like Sprint but with Verizon's coverage, I'd be on that like white on rice.

This has to be bullsheet, I pay $220 for three lines.

They do not give a free phone anymore, they amortize it over a 2-5 yr plan then add it in the monthly fee.

When I go home to North La my sprint Iphone works in my mom's front yard but not the back ha ha Never have figured out why

Had them in NOLA and they sucked. Call quality was ok but internet was painfully slow most of the time. Had a few areas where LTE was good but a lot more areas where Sprint internet speed was awful.

Also noticed in my travels that I had spotty coverage at best (calls and internet) in St Franciscville, 30A, and along I-10 corridor past Mobile until Florida line

Switched to AT&T and the internet speed is wayyyy faster consistently. Only knock is that since I switched, every once in a while I have group text messages that get delayed coming through...doesn't affect individual texts, just group. Probably give Verizon a shot if AT&T doesn't fix the group text issue by time I'm ready to get a new phone

Same as above. Sprint coverage is bad (specifically data). I'll be switching to Verizon as well

Sprint any good in Houston and the rest of Texas? That unlimited data at $50/line is enticing.

Sprint coverage outside of any major city in Louisiana and in some cities is the worst major carrier. T mobile is better. Att then Verizon. For louisiana I would rate sprint at the bottom.
