I drink a lot of spring water in plastic bottles (though if they get hot, the plastic becomes carcinogenic so I may have to switch to glass bottles).

What is the deal with all the noise these bottles make. I hear the bottles pop and make noise in the car and at home (for no reason). Don't say the new thin plastic, that is not the answer. Does anyone know why they make all these noises? I have my suspicions but I want to know if there are other explanations.

They make more noise when I am nearby using my cell phone.

I do have a 5 gallon dispenser at home and at the farm.

Chemicals in the air from the government planes reacting with the fluoride in the water will cause it to pop.

I wasn't going to say it's the new thin plastic for bottles but you told me not to say it.

Nice dodge - why do the bottles pop and make noise for no reason (like sitting on a coaster on a coffee table) and why does it seem to correlate with when I'm using a cell phone (and you know I'm not a cell phone fan so it is not like I'm on it all the time).

It's the sound of your gentle joints while you struggle to open the bottle.

This has already been discussed

It's the thinner plastic

I'm positive.

It makes noise when you squeeze it because the plastic is thin, but it does NOT make noise when it is sitting there on the table or desk unhandled unless something else is going on.

Did the bottle come from the fridge or drink machine or room temperature right out of the pack?

One of the dopest things ever is putting bottled water in the freezer and it doesn't freeze solid but when you crack the top it freezes into slush from top to bottom. Bitches love that trick

Nice thread but mostly the answers are wrong.

Some companies are being "green" nowadays by using less plastic in each bottle, resulting in a much thinner plastic, easy to crinkle and more responsive to small changes in air pressure.

Small changes in air pressure? No. I'm not sky diving or scuba diving. Definitely not air pressure changes. Could be frequency devices or changes in EMF. I don't know, looking for answers.

How long do you leave it in? Otherwise, it would freeze solid.
