I've only flown southwest and united. Flying Delta for the first time on labor day. I figured you can't go wrong with one of those three

No I prefer United airlines

I'm a big Delta fan. American seems to have older planes.

Love delta, but don't change your ticket cause the price to change it can be more than the cost of the ticket

I should've Google their arse before thinking I was getting a great deal on tickets. I think they even charge a fee for the air that recycled thru the aluminum tube they try to pass off as a plane.
Last flight I booked with them, even after bag fees and the "reserved seating" fee, it was still a good amount cheaper than the next option. How can you not know their deal? Everything is very clearly laid out on their site.

I purchased it thru Expedia not from their site

Flying Branson Air to and from Cancun was a TOTAL shitshow. Never again.
Did you fly the first week of May this year?

Delta is the best major carrier imo. Southwest is a close second. frick United. There is a reason they have such shitty reviews and poll numbers.

Flew to Cancun a couple of years ago, and considered using Spirit. After reading the reviews, I couldn't do it. Booked with United and never looked back. Besides, on international flights with United, you get a checked bag and a carry-on free, so in the end, they were both really close in price.
The thing that really bothered me was all of the bad reviews on always running behind schedule. I had no desire arriving in Mexico late and having to drive across the country-side in the middle of the night.

LOL, I flew Spirit from ATL to Chicago to purchase a car back in February and other than all of the black trash on the plane, it wasn't bad (I'm sure there was white trash too, but they didn't vocalize it).
Anyway, I watched some lady smash the wheels off of her suitcase in order to have to pay for it, and then we got stuck on the tarmac at O'Hare for over an hour and about 10 black people started going crazy on the plane, demanding free drinks/flights/food, it was fricking hilarious.

NPR Planet Money Podcast - Episode 517: The Fastest Growing, Least Popular Airline In America
You should listen to this podcast and what the CEO of this airline has to say about their business model (he starts speaking around the 3 minute mark). He says he the Dollar General of airlines. He says he doesn't want to be Target or even Walmart.
If you thought you could fly across the country for the cost of filling up your SUV, it's your problem. If you had the right expectations going in, you wouldn't be starting a thread like this.

I hate united. Why? One reason they LIE. repeatedly. I can deal with a flight being delayed, just tell me when you know so I can plan. Don't sit on the information forever.

Theres a reason i dont include spirit in my cheap flight of the week threads...

Wasn't bad, round trip to Dallas for 60 bucks. No carry on luggage as I fit clothes into a personal bag.

Are you looking for apperations?

Pretty much your fault for not reading. It's all listed on their website, to include gov't taxes & fees....which is awesome.
There's an underseat carry-on at WallyWorld that's $40, and fits perfectly. I can live out of it for a week with no issues.

Gotta read dat fine print. If you're only traveling for a day or so it's a great deal. I just take some anxiety meds and I'm good to go
