Spinoff: What's the Best Excuse You've Heard for Getting out of Jury Duty?

A buddy of mine told me today his dad has said "I believe that people are guilty until proven innocent" and he got out of doing it. I laughed about that for a while. Never been selected for jury duty so I've never thought about something like that.

I'm currently in my two week jury period for Orleans parish and I haven't had to go in a single day. I guess I don't even need excuses

I actually sat next to the judge as she was considering everyone's BS excuse as to why they should be let go and the only one she let out said he had really bad diarrhea.

An older black man said he had been convicted of a felony. Judge asked what the charge was. The man says possession of marijuana. Judge informs him that that isn't a felony. Man says, "Oh. Well I can't read." He was dismissed.
