Spinoff: Should Euthanasia (Assisted suicide) be legal?

In the case of people who are terminally ill or who are suffering so badly that they, as determined by doctors of being in the right state of mind and not delusional, make the choice to be out of pain. What says the OT? It's a sticky situation I'm aware.
As for me, I'd say yes..it should be legal. I've seen many people including one of my relatives who was in horrific pain and going through what no human (or living being for that matter) should ever have to go through..suffering for 3-4 days excruciatingly before dying.

It's called morphine. Give it to them for the "pain."

Obama's biggest failure is that the death panels weren't true.

Absolutely. A nice, non-dramatic, planned way to go out? Hell yes

Yes it should. Its personal liberty.
If I am miserably and terminally ill, frick whoever is trying to tell me I can't end my pain in a peaceful and willful way.

After watching the documentary "how to live and die in Oregon", without a doubt yes

Kind if similar but...My mom was granted Power of Attorney over my aunt after she overdosed for the final time and slipped into a coma. My aunt was one of those live hard die young types and would always say that she would want to be put out of her misery if that hypothetical ever came to pass. Alas, it did. It was the hardest decision she ever had to make but she felt it was the right thing to do. One of those gray areas in life that you're not sure how'd you go one way or the other until it happens.

Why is it the responsibility of the youth in Asia to take a person's life?

This.
It's unfortunate that legalization will mostly be opposed by "small government" conservatives. At least among the layfolk. In terms of politicians, they'll all be against it. Letting people kill themselves = less money for the medical profession.

Definitely should be legal

Yes, but there should be a mandatory waiting period along with counseling to determine if it SWIM is being impulsive b/c temporarily not in right state of mind
