Spinoff of military thread: alphabet agencies

anybody want to admit they belong? I know CIA recruits LSU, or did at one time, and one of my fraternity brothers was hired by them, on the analysis side. I guess he still works there, haven't heard anything from him in a very long time.

No surprise there.
My company does contract work for the CIA (nothing sexy, just financial systems support) and everyone on that project basically disappears into a black hole. Very stable work and it apparently pays well but they don't talk much to anyone on the outside.

Anyone who works for one of the agencies you're probably fishing for (CIA or NSA) would be a fool to admit it on here. Not necessarily because they have a sexy job. Like almost any other organization, the cool shite you see on TV is pretty much the smallest fraction of what the agency does, and most people are instead engaged in technical, analysis, C4I/IT, finance, personnel, etc. Foreign intelligence agencies troll social media, and anyone who so much as works as a secretary (or anywhere at Langley or Meade or any of their auxiliary facilities) would be a good, valuable asset to target for collection.
Furthermore, recently ISIL and AQ have been calling on American-born Muslims to identify and attack members of the military and others in federal government service, so technically all of us probably talk too much (our identities are semi-private on here, but not secure).

I posted in the other thread, but I did a short stint as a contractor doing some ISTAR for a small Army unit. I'll let you guys have fun trying to guess.

This. Like I said earlier, the people at my company who actually do that kind of work basically disappear from view. I'm not one of them, obviously.

I'm a free agent so I belong to no one.

I went to HS with a guy who is an fbi agent. His wife(who also went to school with us) is in facebook but has to use a fake last name.
On a side note, we went to a very small school and they did an ESPN 30 for 30 about them a couple years ago, which kind of surprised me.

No sir. We "prepared the battlespace" for covert operations. The agency I worked for is a U.S. Army unit, which should lead you more in the right direction. I can promise you've heard very little, if anything, about the unit or its ops.
... and no, it's not SF or SFOD-D. I haven't even told my friends and family about it honestly. Let's just say that my travels weren't always to the locale I told people, or for the same reasons.

Scruffy has a relAtive that does weapon tech research for some alphabet agency. Not sure which one though.
Always found it funny that he isn't permitted to ever own a cellphone.

If by fix you mean turn it on without your knowledge and collect all SIGINT info from it; yea, I can do that... with the right equipment of course.
