For that price and mpg, I'd get the GX460

The Infinity is only large SUV more tacky than the Escalade.....

It's probably a nice car though. It's based on the Nissan Armada.

Everyone says how comfortable it is and how they enjoy the ride, but it is just so big. Who really needs that much space + needs to tow a big boat? There are smaller SUVs with nearly that space with V6's or forced induction motors that are just as nice (see the Audi Q7) and handle far better. I just wouldnt want to park that tank or drive it in small parking lots/ tight streets.

I have one. The wife drives it and loves it. It is expensive and it gets no more than 14.5 mpg. That is the bad. The good it has plenty of power and a very nice ride. With four kids it is very comfy for long trips.

I am on my second. I think they are now called the QX 80. Awesome vehicle. Comfortable, super ride, a lot of space. Gas is pricey.

Probably the worst of the large, luxury SUV's.

Read JD Power.

Quickly.

Far better choice.

As is the Escalade and the Navigator. MB and BMW, in that order.

The only worse choice is anything Range Rover.
So the OP has that going for him at least.

This has to be the wife now, right?

They used to have some fairly significant quality issues, but other posters like theirs.
Get it, but get the extended warranty.
Also, drive it from a cold start and be sure it shifts smooth.

Explain to her that unless she is going to constantly trailer 8k lbs, then she will enjoy something smaller everyday. Buick Enclave FTW. We had suburban, and the enclave actually feels larger inside, and is better in every other possible way besides payload.

I had a first generation qx56. Great suv, no problems at all until I totaled it. Really bad wreck but not a scratch on me. Mpg sucks. Just can't like the outside of the new model, just plain ugly but the inside is second to none.
