Let's hope it goes better than last time.

I'm guessing it won't be on the NASA channel?

They know it's a long shot. But if they can save 1 in 5, it'll make it worth it. Plus it's just the beginning, they'll get more data as they go along.

I think they filled this one up with a little more landing fuel. They said last time they were a little naive on how much fuel it would burn coming down.

It should be streaming on NASA HD too. Nasa TV

I'm no rocket scientist, but my mind can't get around why you just wouldn't put more fuel in it to begin with. They were testing if they could land the thing, not how efficiently they could do it. I would think you'd lean towards more fuel than less, then do the calculations from there.
Maybe I'm missing something though.

The only thing you are missing is its a bunch of genius rocket scientist that left their common sense at the door.

Watching it on NASA TV via DirecTV. Damn DirecTV only has an SD feed yet there is an HD logo on the screen.

Dang, hopefully they can launch tomorrow. Did they say an anticipated time for tomorrow?
re: SpaceX Launch TodayPosted by CocomoLSU on 2/8/15 at 5:12 pm to BottomlandBrew
Yup. Just started watching and saw it was scrubbed. What was tha reason?
re: SpaceX Launch TodayPosted by stringer_bell on 2/8/15 at 5:12 pm to BottomlandBrew
Next opportunity tomorrow at around 5pm central. If that doesn't work they can launch it Tuesday or Wednesday.

My girlfriends dad was one of the people in charge of building the rig they're trying to land the rocket for that shuttle on.

Issues with first-stage transmitter and a range radar.

I don't have access to the internet at large so I can't check. Does anyone know if this is still on for today around 6EST?

1 hour until launch. Sounds like they may scrub it though. upper level winds have been in the red all day long.
