Southern is trying to promote itself as a more multicultural school. However, we know most non-minorities (other than Asians) will be inclined to attend the PWI like LSU.
I use to be one of those who preferred PWI because of social acceptance. However I learned the hard way that there is more to life than academics. Feeling a sense of happiness in what you do is crucial.

Sure, but not to the tune of tuition costs. I'm sorry but while you are in college by and large life should be about academics. Unless you are an art major I guess.

I know a white female who went there for her masters in nursing to become a NP. Free scholarship since she was considered a minority of course. Every (person) in her class dropped-failed out of the program except her.

It was hilarious when we shared some civil engineering classes with southern students. I've never seen so many grades in the teens. Did wonders for the curve
