We are heading there this weekend for a bachelor party. Staying on Ocean Blvd.

We have no real formal plans set up other than a place to stay. Everyone is getting in at different times Friday afternoon/evening so I figure we will just bar hop and observe the train wreck that I'm sure will be going on since it's Halloween.

Any recommendations for good bars/restaurants?
Good sports bar to maybe watch some games Saturday afternoon?

I've been there once a few years ago and know the lay of the land somewhat well but any recommendations would be great.

Be prepared to open your wallet

Honestly, I hated South Beach, and I love most major American cities. San Francisco and New York shite all over Miami. As someone who is not native to Louisiana, I like New Orleans far more than I will ever like Miami.

My advice is to go elsewhere.

I agree with the others who say it's not the best choice. Unless you are all swaggy bros with high bankrolls, a top notch wardrobe, and super tight club game I feel like it won't be much fun.

Miami is for 4 day getaways with your girl or with other couples. I can't see being there with other dudes - would be weird.

It's not that bad. There are still plenty of bars you can go to. It will be more expensive than what most are use to but hey, its a bachelor party. Have fun. As far a sports bars go, there really isnt any big ones. I would say the best place would be Teds Hideaway which is a block off Ocean Drive and 2nd street. They have alot of Tvs and you can usually get them to put on whatever game you are wanting to watch. They also have some of the cheapest drinks you find in SOBE. Its a dive bar.

scarletts is the only answer. Left that place when the sun was coming up and there was still a line to get in

Have everyone bring at least $2000 to spend. There are some awesome clubs there, but you have to get bottle service if you are in a group of guys. Just read online for the best clubs in Miami now. I loved Mansion, but I think Space is better now.

If that atmosphere isnt your style, then you are going to the wrong place. Many of the bars on south beach are cheesy touristy places.

Attended a bachelor party there recently and during the day we went fishing for a few hours. Can't recall the name of the place. They have several boats that leave every few hours and you get on with randos but it's cheap and big enough that you can carve out your own corner. It's also BYOB so we brought a cooler with a ton of beer, caught fish, and the captain blasted the local classic rock station. Great way to kill 3-4 hours during the day.

I figure there are places towards Brickell and Coconut Grove etc or no?

And what about some salsa?

Our idea is to attend FSU Miami and probably some other activities so we aren't forced into the club thing the whole time. Maybe do NASCAR on Sunday at Homestead because, why not.

Scarlets and Eleven are the best strip type clubs.

LiV is overrated. The Eden Roc bar on Fri or Sat night is legit (outside of LiV) and you will see an insane amount of hot women. Be prepared for $18 a drink though. LiV will run $60-$100 cover per dude and be insanely crowded. Then you have drinks to buy. The women there are amazing and it is a hell of a light show inside with about 20 of the hottest go-go dancers on the planet, but it will be $200-$300 per dude if you go hard there.

Clevelander is the best sports type bar on ocean drive. Lots of TVs and fun on Saturday.

Might want to consider the Seminole Hard Rock one night. It is about my favorite place in South Florida at the moment. Lots and lots of clubs, bars, and everything there. Thousands of people on a Fri/Sat. $55-$60 buck cab ride from SOBE though.

Nicki Beach on Sunday is fun. Its on 1st Avenue, last street on Colins in SOBE.
