Yea you better call the DMV ASAP before you're on the hook for multiple traffic violations and wanted for questioning in several crimes.

You also gonna get a letter from the OMV and owe them thousands for not turning that thing in when you get the new one. Have fun with that.

Probably a Syrian refugee that is a member of ISIS. Good luck on explaining to the CIA when they come knocking that they stole the plate and you were not funding terrorism.

It happened to me last year. 1st thing to do is go file a police report just in case the thief does something really stupid. After filing the police report, go to the DMV and get a new one

first you report it stolen

then just go to DMV on a slow day, hopefully, and get new plates

the end...

You'll be investigated for rape or murder shortly.

In Florida this is exactly how you do it; happened to me. I get calls from the Sheriff's Office about once a month asking me if I found it

Maybe I should call them once a month and see if they're even looking for it

Edit: the DMV will ask you for the police report number & the replacement should be free.

File a police report too. So, if they run a red light you can fight the ticket a lot easier.

Here's what I had to do.

1) File a police report
2) Go to the DMV and get new plates

I left work to grab a honeybaked ham for our company thanksgiving. I'm pretty sure that's where it was stolen.

Didn't notice this morning when I went to class, but it could've been stolen last night
