Somebody explain dark matter to me.

And WTF existed outside of the compressed microscopic universe just prior to the Big Bang?

It's similar to Black Lives Matter, but with more pigment.

Nothing existed outside of the compressed universe. Absolutely nothing.

Lives, Dark, Matters, Matter
Im not sure which order to put these in.

What we see as observable matter is only 20% of what is actually out there
Dark matter is the other 80%... we can't directly observe it, but it's there
Large objects can bend and distort light... same thing happens with dark matter, even though we can't see it, it still bends light... that's how we know
ETA: now my head hurts

I didn't find it all that hard to grasp what dark matter is.... what really starts to throw me for a loop is when they get into the string theory

No one knows and the human brain can't comprehend it. It leads to a scientific explanation of intelligent design.

Ordinary matter interacts via 4 fundamental forces, electromagnetism, gravity, the weak force, and the strong force. When cosmologists analyze the universe, they find that there isn't enough matter and energy to explain the behavior of certain phenomena. Thus they invoke dark matter, a form of matter that interacts via gravity but not electromagnetism, making it hard to observe directly.

Wet a cloth, and whirl it around really fast. You would see that the drops of water fly off from the cloth. But imagine that instead, they remained on the cloth. Similar behaviour is shown by stars revolving around galaxies. They are moving with so much speed, that they should have flown off. Yet they remain in the galaxy, this is due to dark matter

Here is the 100% rule, god created the heavens and the earth. He spoke it into existence and because he created it he determines how it works.
Gravity works because he created it not because we can observe or utilize it.

So if matter was neither created nor destroyed how did the matter appear?
I always found this interesting

So, instead of hypothesising a reason for these behaviors, they just created a catch all for all the things they can't explain?

God can do whatever the frick he wants. So he made the earth. And then he made a rule that you can't destroy or make earth.

Lets discuss the dark web instead

when things get very tiny if you look at particles as discrete points of space then you can't reconcile quantum mechanics and classical relativistic space mechanics. If you let the particles smear out then you can. Strings is a mathematical treatment for letting the particles smear.
