Was a 2000 model vehicle. Told the guy that we hadnt driven it in months. I asked if he wanted to drive it and he declined. Guy never drove it until he brought it home. Called when he got home that there were problems.

Did you have him sign a waiver of redhibition?

Tell him he's assed out and the car was to be sold as is.

I am not trying to hustle the guy at all but to me, he should have asked to drive it first. I actually asked him to drive it and he turned it down.

Tell him stupidity doesn't have a warranty.

you got the paperwork for the sale? Does it state that it is sold as is? If the answer is yes to both then screw that guy. What kind of car was it?

Of course, before you tell him to go screw himself, check his hands.

The People's Court and Jude Judy will back you. Tell him stfu. Had a chance to bring it to his mechanic .

I'd say it depends on whether it's someone you know personally. If so you might want to attend to it. If not, then he needs to show you some other reason why you should spend any more time on it. 15 year old cars will have problems, and unless it's a collectible the money involved just isn't worth the time to fight over it.
If you didn't offer a warranty then you don't owe him squat. That's why old cars are so cheap, they are purchased as-is and it is up to the buyer to inspect before sealing the deal.

Dude - If it's only been an hour or so - Give him his money back. Consider it a test drive.
ETA:
Did ya turn around and spend the money already?

I doubt his drug dealer or that girl's pimp are giving refunds, neither should he.

Sounds like business between two dumbfricks

Did you specify "as is" or not? What was written in the bill of sale?

If he signed it with the notary present - No longer your problem.
