[img]On Friday, July 3, 2015 through Saturday, July 4, 2015, the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office - in conjunction with several other local law enforcement agencies - will conduct sobriety checkpoints in Livingston Parish. The checkpoints are in an effort to protect our citizens from those who choose to drink and drive during the Independence Day (or Fourth of July) holiday.[/img]

Do DUI laws apply to the waterways the same as the roads? seems like there is a lot more room out there in the lakes and rivers so no need to be so strick.

With vehicles, you can drink as much as you can handle without going over the legal limit.
With boats, you can't have any alcohol in your system as the captain of a vessel.
