LSUPD text stating they're securing the bookstore and the parking garage. Did one of our northern neighbors somehow sneak into campus?

Came here to see if anyone posted about it. No clue what's going on but I saw a bunch of police cars heading toward campus earlier.

Armed robbery. I'm sure they were stealing books to further their education.

I left before the Barnes and Noble was built, and you still bought books in the union. Is it the union, or the B&N?

Either one has to be stacked with cameras. Maybe someone was pissed at book buyback prices

An emergency alert issued to the LSU campus Tuesday night urged students to "stay clear of" the Student Union Parking Garage and the Barnes and Noble bookstore. Minutes later, a broadcast emergency email to students included the subject line "INCIDENT 03: Armed Robbery," advised students to stay clear of the area and said police were currently securing the premises.
In a text message, LSU Media Relations director Ernie Ballard said "Police investigation at those facilities. No other details at this time as it's an active investigation."

The LSU Union might be one of the dumbest places to rob in south BR. Aside from cameras and shitty roads, you are still in the middle of campus when you leave

Per Twitter

.@lsu police investigating possible threat at campus bookstore and nearby parking garage. Multiple units on scene.

Looks like they gave the all clear now.

It wasn't a robbery by the way. I guess someone forgot to change the subject line from the last emergency email.

Do they have any LSU vigilante types? What I'm asking is are there any students that respond to these text by going to the areas and look for the perpetrators to beat their arse?

Is this a typical day at LSU? How often do they have armed robberies on campus? And how bad is the surrounding neighborhood?

School didn't really start until the emergency e-text came saying some sort of robbery happened. And those texts normally came across before classes even began.
