Rice Field crawfish are abundant right now, everyone i know is catching. As far as the spillway and basin areas it's just to early. Those areas always turn on from late April-July. Not sure why it would get worse, it always gets better later in the summer in deep water.

The demand is always there. And the quantity demanded probably increases after Easter, during the summer. So I'm not buying that angle of it.
Look, I understand. Crawfish farmers want to make money too. But don't piss on our back and tell us it's raining. Don't come up with some b.s. about weather or why this year will be a bad crop. Man up and just say, "the price is $2.99 a pound take it or leave it".
To me the price isn't an issue as much as the bull shite excuses about the price.
