Agree with this. They want to get rid of the word retarded, but all that does is turn "Special Olympics" or "Shortbus" or Special Needs" into cutdowns. It would be better to keep retard around AS a cutdown kinda like mods here made the Rant to contain Bama fans.

I mean at the end of the day teenage boys will ALWAYS want to call each other less viable human beings. You will never make being retarded a "good" thing. Differentiating work ethic can surely help put context into what you were describing. But what was the point in differentiating to someone who does not care? It's the undertones that are implied when you add those adjectives, even though you may not have meant any ill will. You could have said "some hard working Mexicans were still working on the house" and the person wouldn't have been offended at all.

It's ridiculous that people get so offended, I know.
