I thought I knew what pain and agony was until this morning. Holy hell, I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

If you could keep us up to date throughout the day of how you're feeling that would be great

Sorry about that, brother. Get well soon. But, hey, at least you earned your discogram patch.

Pain. That's how I'm doing right now. Not as bad as when I was in the OR, but still a lot of pain.

Had a discogram a couple years ago. Wasn't bad at all. Some people with low pain tolerances like to blow it out of proportion though

It's more akin to dibilitating midlevel torture.

I'll put it this was, one of the first things the doctor said to me when they rolled me into the OR was "I'm about to give you probably the worst pain you've ever felt in your life". He kept his word.

During a discogram, dye is injected into the soft center of the disk. The injection itself sometimes reproduces your back pain.

I had one and that was the worst pain I've ever been through. I know what you're feeling. Good luck and I hope the pain subsides soon.

Why would you do this procedure? Highly invasive and painful and no healing effect. It's just an evaluative procedure.

My neurologist ordered it to see if a fusion is a viable option for my back. I've got three disc that could be the issue. If my pain comes from mainly one disc, then surgery is an option. If my problem is all three discs, then as he said "the fix would be worse than the problem.

Nice bedside manner... I would not go into something like that voluntarily.
