Snitch deputy in Gosserand case resassigned, turns in notice

The other day Sheriff Mike Cazes said this.

quote:

"Tell whoever your snitch is, tell him he's got a job for a little bit longer," Sheriff Mike Cazes said. "But, I have the final say so, your service is no longer needed."

Some kind of cover up there Sheriff.

quote:

Last week, News 2 questioned Sheriff Mike Cazes about video we obtained outside the West Baton Rouge Parish Jail. It showed Victoria Gosserand walking in plain clothes without handcuffs or shackles outside the prison. Our investigation revealed Gosserand is in a cell by herself, and is one of the only women in a prison work program.

Can you imagine the shite storm if this chick were to drink and drive/kill someone while "on leave" from her prison sentence?

I thought snitching was something criminals did amongst one another?

i emailed the AG's office yesterday, seeing if they would look into it
I dont know the legality, but at the very least, Cazes is a piece of crap who needs to be out of office

Sheriffs completely control work-release programs. There are much more hardened and dangerous criminals working outside of prisons everyday. This is a complete non-story.

Something happened in this case to where the woman was found guilty but without hard labor which allowed her to stay at the local prison and not be sent to a DOC prison. Something fishy as hell is going on here with the whole system over there and it looks to me like the judge, prosecuting attorney,DA,and sheriff are all involved somehow.

They have to show good behavior, show that they aren't a flight risk and generally have to be in the system for quite some time before they are ever considered for "Trustee" status.

I think this is quite the intriguing story.

not sure about that. other criminals arent in civilian clothing, they're ususally in a uniform of some sort. Also, VG is the ONLY female trustee with this privilege. I know its "legal" but it still smacks of cronyism at its worst. I lost a lot of respecect for Mike on this. He's handling the whole thing poorly.

To be fair, she's got a nice set of tits and her daddy has a load of cash. You can't blame the sheriff really.

I have hired work release prisoners on several occasions and they are always wearing regular clothes. Never a prison uniform.

hope you are trying to be sarcastic. Her tits are firm B, maybe C cups- nothing to get all excited about.

It's called a plea bargain. This was all negotiated in advance. Again, not uncommon or odd.

The fact that they allowed that in the plea bargain may have been a story when it happened, but her being on a work-release and wearing street clothes is not a story. There are thousands of prisoners in Louisiana doing that very thing everyday. And they are not "trustees". It is a cash cow for the Sheriff's office. Prisoners can be on work release very early on in a sentence.
