In the market. Looking at Nest 3 and Ecobee3. Need to know which is the most OT-Ballinist.

Tech board has a long thread on it.

Ecobee3 or Ecobee3 lite. The lite can now use the remote sensors so there's little difference.

I don't know why people like the Ecobee more if they're not using the remote sensors.

If they are, then it makes sense.

I love my nest. Being able to turn the fan on from my phone on the couch is clutch. It saves me from walking my lazy arse across the room.

I'm a Nest-er and happy with it.

The Ecobees have good reviews as well from people I know who have them.

If you go with either one, I'm sure you'll be OK.

I went with the Emerson Sensi.

I needed a couple and going with Emerson saved me a couple hundred bucks. I was set on the Ecobee until a friend told me about the Sensi. The other ones look cooler, but you won't care about that a week after it's installed.

The ecobee has always had much better customization and home automation integration.

Nest is great. I also have her linked to my echo so I can literally tell Alexa "set the tempature to 72'"

I also have the Sensi. I'm an Amazon Echo guy, love walking in and telling Alexa to turn the air down.
Also, didn't have a "c" wire, Sensi doesn't require one, so it was much easier to install.

Honeywell has a wifi stat with all the same capabilities for a fraction of the cost.

I don't really care about home automation outside of Alexa.

I admittedly want something that looks cool (so the Honeywell is out), that is reliable, and that is so easy to use that my technologically illiterate wife can handle it.

Ecobee has a new version coming out that incorporates Alexa into it, if it isn't out yet i would wait for that one.
